ART: Hermione/Sirius

YAY! My first piece of Hermione/Sirius art! I actually really like how this piece turned out. Hope ya'll do too.

Notes: I had to play with Sirius's eyes for soooo long until I was finally happy with them. As always, any concrit is most welcome.

Thank you! Hmmm, I hadn't noticed the similarity; I just got an image of Sirius in my head and drew it. Glad you like it, though!

BTW- where did you get your icon? I love it!

LOL! It truly does look like a toothpaste ad, how funny. I was going for more of a photograph feel, but oh well. *g* Thank you for the review. I'm glad you like the pic. :)

*giggles* This would be Aika, the breast-obsessed, chiming in after a long absence. I was looking at the top of the picture and thinking how nice the hair on Hermione was, or the chin on Sirius (that looks suspiciously as angular as Jennifer Anniston's), and then I saw Herm's chest. Wow, she filled out well.

For small details, I love Herm's ear. Ears are notoriously hard to do. I also like the coloring job. There is only one other in color of yours that I've seen (a young Bill with his long ponytail), but I prefer the style of this.

After reading another's comment that it seemed like a toothpaste ad, I can see it. you ahve so much detail going on everywhere else that not having any there is noticeable. I have no idea how to make it better, though. When you did try to draw teeth in your self protrait, they came out kinda goofy (sorry). Perhaps teeth are your next thing to work on for portraits. Or you could just make close-mouthed smiles and skip it.

LOL, you and breasts. :-P Yes, she does seem to have filled out quite nicely. I didn't mean to make them so big, but I actually was having trouble with them. This is the product of frustration and saying, "Fine, she'll have big boobs! Happy!" to my sketch pad.

As for the coloring, I really like how this one turned out, and I too prefer this style over the other ones I've tried.

Yes, I think I'm going to have to work on teeth, because they still frighten me after my self-portrait. I thought about doing these two with closed-mouth smiles, but I wanted a posed/photography feel, and I felt it worked better open-mouthed. oh well. practice, practice, practice.

Thanks so much for the detailed review! I can't say how much I enjoy receiving them, and how much they really do help me improve. More feedback=more ideas of how to get better. So, thank you!
